NMR spectroscopy is a powerful tool to investigate body fluids, including whole blood, plasma, serum, urine, liquor, and cerebrospinal fluid. As an example, the NMR spectrum of the urine of a child suffering from pyroglutamic aciduria is shown in the figure below. Characteristic spectral patterns indicate the presence of the metabolite 5-oxoproline in pathologically elevated concentration.
INFAI has 20 years of experience in NMR-based investigations of body fluids.Over the years, a comprehensive library of spectral information on numerous diseases and isolated metabolites has been accumulated.Combined with our recently updated automation equipment (figures below), extensive research and screening projects are feasible.
